Specialist legal recruitment consultancy Legalis is delighted to announce the re-appointment of legal recruiter Laura Kaya. Laura will be focused on the Turkish market where Legalis has maintained an outstanding track record of placing lawyers with top Istanbul law firms for over a decade.

Laura’s professional recruitment experience includes working with Google, NCR and agencies in the US. Her career has continued through multiple transitions as a military spouse; including moves to Germany and Turkey while prioritizing the needs of her young family. To this, Laura added, “From a diversity standpoint I have always admired that Legalis is run by women and is majority-owned by women. Furthermore, I am so fortunate to be based in Turkey working in the Turkish market where many women not only make equity partners but are also internationally recognized leaders of practice groups and managing partners.”

Laura rejoins her old team at Hudson Legal, which in CEE became Legalis in 2012. Commenting on her move Laura said, “I credit that first experience in Budapest for paving the way for me to join Google headquarters in 2007 as a rare permanent recruiter hire. I am pleased to be working again with Ellen Hayes, Anna Lukacs, and Gabor Szekely who were top-end legal recruiters then, and now.”

Ellen Hayes commented, “We have always held Laura in the highest regard and are delighted to welcome her back to our team.”
