We are currently assisting a leading international-facing law firm in Slovakia with the appointment of a Real Estate / Environmental Associate to join its growing team.

This is an urgent opportunity for a talented junior-to-mid-level lawyer who is looking to develop their career within a high-quality legal team working on sophisticated, international matters.

The role would suit a lawyer with approximately three years of post-bar experience. Candidates who gained relevant experience in the practice area prior to bar admission will also be considered.

The Role

The successful candidate will advise on a combination of real estate and environmental matters, supporting both local and international clients on complex transactions and projects.

The team works with international clients investing in Slovakia, providing exposure to interesting and commercially significant projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys technically challenging work and would like to build a strong long-term career in a specialist practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on real estate transactions and related legal matters;
  • Supporting environmental law matters and regulatory issues;
  • Conducting legal research and due diligence;
  • Drafting and reviewing agreements, transaction documents and legal opinions;
  • Working directly with local and international clients;
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-value projects; and
  • Developing expertise across both real estate and environmental law.

Candidate Profile:

  • Approximately 3 years PQE;
  • Relevant experience in real estate and/or environmental law;
  • Strong academic and legal credentials;
  • Excellent drafting and analytical skills;
  • Strong English communication skills;
  • The ability to work with both local and international clients;
  • A commercial and solution-oriented approach; and
  • Genuine interest in developing a career within a specialist practice.
