Tomasz Stasiak has joined the Warsaw office of the Wolf Theiss law firm as a partner and head of the office’s Real Estate & Construction Practice Group. The appointment of Tomasz, a leading real estate lawyer in Poland, is another step in Wolf Theiss’ continued expansion in central Europe’s largest economy and its response to the growing demand for legal advisory services in Poland’s booming real estate market.
Tomasz Stasiak has 19 years of experience on the Polish real estate market, acting for international investors and developers and participating in a number of landmark transactions. He has been involved in all stages of property projects, from purchasing land, through commissioning contractors and consultants and arranging for funding and leasing, to sale of completed projects. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Tomasz was a partner in the Warsaw office of Dentons, and he has previously worked at Clifford Chance and CMS Cameron McKenna.

International law firm Bird & Bird appoints Michael Gorm Madsen as a corporate and commercial partner in the firm’s Privacy and Data Protection group in Copenhagen.
Michael joins from Lundgrens and has been advising clients on data protection issues for more than 17 years. A data protection specialist with a CIPP/E certification (IAPP), Michael has a vast knowledge of both national and international data protection issues. He advises on corporate and commercial matters including commercial contracts, disputes, consumer law and marketing law. Michael also has substantial expertise within white collar employment law which will complement our International HR Services practice.

International law firm Proskauer announced today the arrival of partner Christopher O. Bell in the Firm’s Finance Group in the New York office.
Mr. Bell’s client base includes leading private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and other borrowers. In addition, he represents key financial institutions in arranging and underwriting syndicated loans. His practice focuses on leveraged finance transactions, with an emphasis on debt commitments and credit facilities for leveraged acquisitions. He also advises borrowers on the ongoing compliance with their financing documentation and has worked on recapitalizations, refinancings and related transactions.

Dentons has strengthened its Energy and Infrastructure practice in Dubai with the hire of partner Mhairi Main Garcia. Mhairi joins the Firm from Ashurst, where she was Counsel.
Mhairi is a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, specialising in the project development, M&A and capital markets aspects of energy and infrastructure projects. Mhairi has advised sponsors, lenders, contractors and public sector clients on a number of leading and first-of-a-kind deals across the MENA region and beyond.
Mhairi focuses on utilities projects (conventional power and water projects, wastewater and renewables, including solar (CSP and PV), wind and waste-to-energy) and upstream oil and gas projects, including acquisitions and disposals, development of upstream oil and gas projects, and sales arrangements.
