International law firm Baker McKenzie have announced that Jason Marty have joined the firm as the Firm’s Global Chief Operating Officer. For the last three years Jason has been responsible for the launch and the successful operation of our Global Services Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland which is now working with our offices around the world providing support for transactional practices, investigations, commercial work, and litigation. He will replace Craig Courter in the role. Craig will be looking for new opportunities outside the Firm.

Global law firm Clifford Chance have announced that Anita Lam has joined the firms Litigation and Disputes Resolution team who has commenced at the firm on 15 May 2017 as consultant and head of the firm’s Hong Kong employment practice. Anita practices across all areas of employment law, with a particular focus on contentious employment, discrimination and data privacy disputes. As a seasoned litigator, Anita is one of the very few solicitors in Hong Kong who has Higher Rights of Audience granted by the Higher Rights Assessment Board. Her extensive experience spans across a variety of sectors including financial services, transport & logistics, education, consumer goods, healthcare, and energy. This announcement follows the recent lateral appointment of partner Angela Pearsall in Sydney and the promotion of international arbitration specialist Sam Luttrell to partner in Perth this month.

Law firm K&L Gates PPL have announced that Mounir Letayf has joined the firm as a partner in its banking and asset finance practice, accompanied by counsel Adeline Roboam. Letayf and Roboam have broad experience in leveraged, structured, and real estate finance, debt restructuring, and general lending and securitization. Law firm Greenberg Traurig have announced that Katharine J. Neer has joined the Government Law & Policy Practice in the Albany office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP. At the Governor’s Office, Neer was a member of the state operations team overseeing policy and operations for six agencies: the Department of Financial Services; the State Insurance Fund; the Department of State; the Department of Tax and Finance; the Office of General Services; and the Gaming Commission. “Katie is a dedicated, multi-dimensional lawyer with meaningful experience in government,” said Harold N.
