White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Commercial Litigation Practice with the addition of Steven Baker as a new partner in London. Baker, who joins the Firm’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice, advises clients on complex, multijurisdictional disputes under general commercial law and private international law, with a particular focus on the technology and communications, banking, financial services and commodities sectors.

Jones Day continues to expand in Europe’s key financial centers with the arrival of Lee Federman and Ewen Scott, who will both join the Firm’s Banking, Finance & Securities Practice in its London Office. Mr. Federman is highly experienced in cross-border syndicated financing transactions with a particular focus on leveraged finance and corporate lending while Mr. Scott represents lenders (including credit and debt funds), borrowers, and sponsors on a range of cross-border, bilateral, and syndicated financings, refinancings, and restructurings, on a national and international level, including in emerging markets.

DLA Piper announced that Tami Howie will join the firm’s Corporate practice as a partner in Washington, DC. Howie advises technology, life science and medical device companies in emerging growth and venture capital, private equity and M&A matters. She joins DLA Piper from the Maryland Technology Council, the state’s largest technology trade association supporting biotechnology and innovation in the state of Maryland, where she was CEO.
