Italy – Rome
DLA Piper has added to its Real Estate and Corporate practice groups with three hires in Rome. Filippo Cecchetti, partner, joins together with Eleonora Laurito, legal director and Giulia Minetti Floccari, lawyer. All three hires come from Chiomenti Studio Legale where Filippo has worked as a partner since 2015.
Filippo has experience advising leading Italian asset management companies, national and foreign institutional investors, private equity funds, industrial companies and entrepreneurs in the sale and acquisition of companies and real estate portfolios. He has also advised on leases, as well as service and hotel management contracts.

Spain – Madrid
International law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Andrés Alfonso and Pablo García-Manzano as partners in its team in Madrid. Andrés is a transactional lawyer, and Pablo is an expert in energy regulation and other regulated sectors.
Andrés joins from Herbert Smith Freehills where he has been since 2010. Andrés has over 15 years of experience in energy, oil & gas and mining. He advises on project development, M&A transactions, capital and debt markets transactions, finance transactions and arbitrations, at a national and international level, particularly in Africa and Latin America. He also has experience regarding a wide range of regulatory and contractual issues within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Pablo García Manzano joins from the Council of State, the supreme consultative council of the Spanish Government. Prior to this Pablo held office as the Head of the Legal within the Spanish Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digitalisation.

UK – London
White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Banking Practice and its Global Real Estate Industry Group with the addition of Sudhir Nair as a new partner in London. Sudhir, who joins the Firm’s Global Banking Practice, focuses on real estate finance and has extensive experience advising both lenders and borrowers on real estate financings and investments, including distressed investments and restructurings. He also advises lenders and financial sponsors on a variety of cross-border and domestic leveraged infrastructure financings, and has additional experience advising bank lenders and sponsors on transactions in India. Sudhir joins White & Case from Baker McKenzie, where he was a senior associate, and brings nearly 15 years of experience.

USA – Washington, D.C. and New York City
Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to strategically expand its Corporate and Investment Funds practices with the addition of Petros (Peter) L. Tsirigotis as shareholder in its Washington, D.C. and New York City offices. Tsirigotis joins from Stradley Ronon, where he was co-chair of the firm’s Private Investment Funds Practice; before that, he served as senior vice president at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company, where he led the investment management funds risks, operations, and governance group.
