Global law firm Dentons will strengthen its Banking and Finance practice in Germany with the recruitment of a top tier structured finance and securitization team:

  • Dr. Arne Klüwer will assume the role of Head of Banking and Finance Germany as well as Head of Structured Finance Europe. His securitization and structured finance practice covers a broad range of asset classes and supply chain finance products.  He also advises on restructuring, workouts and loan trading transactions. Recently he structured the first whole business securitization of a photovoltaic leasing company.
  • Dr. Matthias Eggert focuses on structured finance and advises on securitization, corporate lending and restructuring as well as on portfolio transactions, including their financing. His clients include banks, borrowers and FinTech companies. Eggert has advised clients such as CRX Markets Vattenfall, Lufthansa and Nestlé on their supply chain finance platforms.
  • Mortimer Berlet focuses on structured finance and securitization and brings substantial experience in the securitization of a broad range of asset classes and structured finance transactions, including loan trading transactions and restructurings.

International law firm DLA Piper has announced that  Andrea Di Dio will join the firm as the new Head of Tax in their Rome office. Andrea has extensive experience in advising Italian and foreign clients on tax topics related to M&A and private equity activities, tax litigation, international taxation and reorganization of family assets.

Law firm CMS have announced that Andreas Köhler will join their CEE Practice as Partner and Head of CEE German Projects. Andreas will commence his role on 16 March 2017. He brings over 15 years of experience working on region-wide transactions, dispute resolution, commercial and employment matters on behalf of international, in particular, German, Austrian and Swiss clients. Andreas is based in Budapest and will work closely with regional practice and sector heads in the CEE & DACH regions and beyond.

Allen & Overy have announced that Adolfo Zunzunegui has joined the firm as a partner in their Spain office. Mr. Zunzunegui will lead and direct the tax law practice in Madrid. Over the course of his career, Mr. Zunzunegui has advised numerous financial entities in a consulting capacity on asset financing processes and structured finance. Similarly, he has specialised in international tax structuring and has participated in complex and innovative M&A transactions.
