DLA Piper has been joined by leading corporate crime and regulatory investigations lawyer Patrick Rappo. Patrick previously spent five years at the Serious Fraud Office, where he became Joint Head of the Bribery & Corruption Divisions and played a lead role in the efforts to successfully introduce deferred prosecution agreements (DPAs) in the United Kingdom.

Mayer Brown announced that it has recruited leveraged finance lawyer, Paul Tannenbaum, as a partner in the firm’s Banking & Finance practice in London. Paul acts for lenders, borrowers and financial institutions on acquisition and leveraged finance, particularly those in the private equity finance market. His experience also includes fund financing. His appointment builds on Mayer Brown’s ongoing investment in its bank lending and finance capabilities.

White & Case continues to grow its Chicago office with the addition of new partner Ray Bogenrief. He joins the Firm as part of its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice and its Private Equity (PE) Industry Group. Ray has represented some of the largest private equity firms in both domestic and cross-border transactions. He will be instrumental in supporting and building our Global private equity practice from Chicago.

Morgan Lewis welcomes finance partner Craig A. Wolfe, a lawyer who for 20 years has assisted companies in a wide variety of industries on restructuring-related matters. Mr. Wolfe represents distressed debtors in formal Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. He also represents strategic and financial purchasers in acquiring distressed businesses and specific assets, as well as creditors’ committees in the bankruptcies of businesses across multiple industries.
