International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added Sunna Choi to the Los Angeles office and Kyle K. Fox to the Austin office, both as shareholders. The hiring of Choi and Fox follows the recent addition of more than one dozen corporate shareholders across the firm. Greenberg Traurig’s team of 400+ multinational corporate and securities attorneys received a first-tier ranking for Corporate Law in the U.S. News Best Lawyers® 2017 “Best Law Firms” report.
Choi will concentrate her practice on corporate financing and related matters, including private equity-related corporate finance transactions, secured and unsecured syndicated financings, private placements of debt, distressed debt investments, restructuring transactions, venture capital financings, and cross-border financings. Fox focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions for private equity and venture capital backed companies, and private companies ranging from startups to international business ventures.

Linklaters has announced the appointment of Agnieszka Mencel, managing associate,to lead the telecommunications, media and technology, and intellectual property practice in Warsaw, Poland. Agnieszka Mencel is a Polish qualified lawyer (adwokat) with over 10 years of professional experience specialising in intellectual property, IT contract, new technology as well as data protection law. Prior to joining Linklaters, Agnieszka was involved with EY Law, and earlier Squire Patton Boggs.

Global law firm Wolf Theiss has welcomed Przemysław Kozdój at the Warsaw office, as a Partner and head of the Banking and Finance practice group in Poland. Przemysław Kozdój has been advising foreign and domestic banks and investors on various aspects of financial transactions and regulatory matters for almost 20 years. He has participated in numerous real estate transactions, including the financing of some of the most prestigious shopping centres, office buildings, logistics centres, and hotels in Poland and Russia. Michał Kulig will join Wolf Theiss as a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance practice group along with Przemysław Kozdój.
