Our client is a leading global law firm with an award-winning Capital Markets Practice across the US, Europe & Asia. 

You will be working alongside leading practitioners, supporting multi-disciplinary teams composed of colleagues from within the Prague group and across the firm’s M&A, Capital Markets and Project Finance groups. As an associate in the practice, you will be expected to take a lead on many of the day-to-day communication tasks involved in ensuring that deals are running;  smoothly conveying information to colleagues, clients and outside parties, and responding to queries and requests. Your core responsibilities will also include:  

  • Participated in structuring and planning DCM and ECM transactions, developing strategies tailored to issuers’ and investors’ needs;
  • Draft and review essential legal documentation to ensure compliance with local and international regulations in capital markets transactions;
  • Negotiate with stakeholders such as underwriters and institutional investors, providing strategic advice on legal and commercial implications;
  • Conduct necessary due diligence to assess risks and ensure regulatory compliance in DCM and ECM transactions;
  • Efficiently manage transaction phases, adhering to timelines and budgets, while coordinating efforts with internal and external teams involved.

Requirements:

  • Czech law degree and bar membership;
  • At least 4 years of capital markets / DCM / ECM experience;
  • Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projects;
  • Commercial and business awareness;
  • Excellent drafting skills;
  • Client service focus;
  • Strong judgement;
  • Fluency in Czech and English is required.
