Our client, a leading international law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Polish-qualified Energy Partner with a focus on either (or both) transactions and regulatory. This should be a highly business development-oriented partner who is a generator of new business. Up and coming partners (counsel) are welcome to apply.
We seek an ambitious individual committed to investing in and expanding the firm’s energy practice, with the drive to strengthen its market position and build a recognized leadership profile for the firm in the sector.
The successful candidate will have a practice handling complex energy mandates, as well as grid and infrastructure investments and broader energy-related commercial projects. The role involves delivering strategic, commercially focused legal advice to investors, developers, utilities, financial institutions and project sponsors, covering contract negotiations, regulatory matters, permitting and licensing processes, and all stages of project development.
You will be expected to structure and negotiate sophisticated contractual frameworks, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), development and EPC agreements, joint ventures, financing arrangements, and energy-focused M&A transactions.
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in energy law gained at a reputable international or regional law firm, within an in-house energy team, or in a comparable advisory setting.
A portable client base and well-established relationships with key industry stakeholders and referral sources are required. If you are a partner you will need the requisite level of business typical for an international firm, if you are a counsel you can come with EUR 300K portable and a trending upward performance the last 3 years that demonstrate your developing book.
