As part of a team that works on international matters, you should have considerable expertise across M&A, joint ventures, private equity, equity capital markets, restructurings and advisory work such as corporate governance to provide innovative and cost effective solutions.
We are interested in Partners who have at least $2 M USD portable business. Such Partners would be able to increase their practice over time given this firm’s expanding global network. Our client may consider energetic young Partners with lower portable if they have a proven upward trajectory in their business development. Counsel may also be considered if they are in the “superstar” category.
As a German qualified lawyer who has been practicing transactional corporate / M&A law for 9+ years, you will be representing top tier international and national clients, which may include investment funds, banking institutions, industrial and/or commercial companies in connection with a broad range of transactions. In addition, you will be a lawyer who is able to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the further development of the practice.

Our Global Law firm Client, is currently seeking a Data Privacy – Cyber Security Partner (with team) to lead and build out the practice in Germany (ideally in Munich) as part of its continued commitment to strategic growth of the data and technology core services. The role is for a seasoned Partner and Team with a portable Client base who will be tasked to proactively drive the business forward.
The ideal candidate/team offering will have hands on experience with:
- Global GDPR compliance audits and remediation programmes;
- Analysis and advice on technology projects and marketing innovations, including lawful basis, transparency.
- Drafting and negotiating vendor DPAs and controller/controller data sharing agreements, including data transfer issues.
- Dealing with GDPR/PECR compliance in the context of corporate acquisitions.
- Dealing with data breach incident response, reporting and subsequent claims of regulatory investigations.
- Advising on international data transfers including transfer impact assessments and BCRs.
- Supporting DPIAs and new technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, etc…
- Advising on cybersecurity matters.
Collective expertise will extend (but not be limited) to
- Excellent data/technical lawyers with a pragmatic and commercial approach to advising on and resolving issues;
- Extensive experience in data protection law, including GDPR, across various sectors, and used to working on international projects;
- Recognition by ranking in Legal500, Chambers and/or JUVE;
- Clear understanding and working experience of the operation and structure of a large international commercial law firm and the needs of the client.
- Highly ambitious and want to collectively help grow the practice and take an active role in driving forward the core initiatives in the firm.

A leading firm with a global footprint and an exceptional client base is seeking to develop their patent litigation practice in Germany.
Our client handles complex disputes for the world’s largest TMT companies and also represents investors and small companies seeking to enforce or defend against patent claims. They seek a Partner for the Munich office to provide immediate and valuable contributions that will better serve their clients and further strengthen the firm’s footprint in the space. The Partner should have deep knowledge of patent litigation, including complex technology-based litigation and licensing disputes, coupled with outstanding leadership skills. The Partner will be a tremendous asset to the existing core patent litigation team in Europe, which includes experienced trial attorneys, many of whom have knowledge in additional areas of law such as antitrust and appellate law. This enables the firm to approach cases from a different perspective and sometimes identify issues that otherwise might get overlooked.
The Partner should be extremely well-recognized foremost for their experience in technology and intellectual property. Their knowledge and a reputation will not only bolster the IPT and patent litigation team, but will also strengthen the corporate practice in Munich, a large and growing technology market. Our client is looking for an established partner whose attention to underlying technology impresses clients.

- +10 years of experience in patent law with litigation aspects ;
- Outstanding reputation in IP/IT in Germany and internationally;
