We are currently assisting a leading international law firm in Paris with the appointment of a Banking & Finance Lawyer with 2–7 years of post-qualified experience to join its growing finance practice.
The successful candidate will have strong experience advising on acquisition finance, real estate finance, high-yield transactions and equity bridge financing, working with leading financial institutions, sponsors, corporates and investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions and investors on a broad range of financing transactions.
- Take a leading role in acquisition finance transactions, including leveraged and sponsor-backed acquisitions.
- Advise on real estate finance matters, including financing and refinancing of commercial and investment properties.
- Work on high-yield and debt capital markets transactions, including the structuring and execution of bond and related financing arrangements.
- Advise on equity bridge financing and other interim financing structures supporting M&A and investment transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, guarantees and other transaction documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, sponsors and other advisers throughout transactions.
- Conduct legal due diligence and identify and advise on transaction-specific legal and financing risks.
- Work closely with colleagues across corporate/M&A, real estate, tax, restructuring and other specialist practices where required.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the firm’s finance practice.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–7 years PQE gained within a reputable international, Magic Circle, leading French or top-tier law firm.
- Strong experience in banking and finance, with a particular focus on acquisition finance, real estate finance, high yield and/or equity bridge financing.
- Excellent knowledge of French financing law and market practice.
- Experience handling sophisticated and cross-border financing transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- The ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively under time pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commercially minded and client-focused approach.
- Fluent French and strong English; additional languages would be advantageous.
