We are representing several leading local and international firms, who are seeking a highly skilled Partner or a next gen rising star counsel to join their Defense & Security teams in Warsaw. Ideally, we are looking for lawyers with a notable reputation, who are more than 50% focused on this sector, its complexities, and who consider themselves dedicated sector specialists.
Aside from navigating Defense procurement in the sale of products and services, candidates should be able to support clients in Regulatory aspects, and Transactions including M&A and joint ventures. The ability to work across Maritime, Air, Land, Communications and Cyber, Single Source Contracts, and Defense Infrastructure is ideal. Experience with assisting Defense manufacturers in effectively structuring APAs to Balance risk, Compliance, and Production demands and familiarity with EDIRPA and EDIP regulations.
Partner candidates need to have contacts, portable business and be able to be a trusted advisor to clients navigating the shifting nature of modern warfare and technological change. You will play a key part in strengthening and building relationships with clients along with incorporating your own portable business into these firms. Counsel candidates are not required to have portable business, but they must demonstrate deep sector knowledge and the drive to join/build a leading practice in the field. All of the firms have ambitious plans to further expand their client offering in this space. In at least one firm, this would be a new launch of the practice.
These roles call for senior Polish qualified lawyers with 12+ years of experience for the partner roles and for counsel level over 8 years would be ideal. We recognize the important missions that our law firm clients require in this sector in order to serve and assist clients with the full spectrum of legal compliance, political strategy, procurement-based opportunities, and strategic corporate and financing transactions. The complexity of issues in defense often challenges the abilities of any practitioner. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to navigate a range of situations where legal analysis is unpredictable, fluid and often comes with urgency.
