A leading firm with a global footprint and an exceptional client base is seeking to develop their patent litigation practice in Germany.

Our client handles complex disputes for the world’s largest TMT companies and also represents investors and small companies seeking to enforce or defend against patent claims. They seek a Partner for the Munich office to provide immediate and valuable contributions that will better serve their clients and further strengthen the firm’s footprint in the space. The Partner should have deep knowledge of patent litigation, including complex technology-based litigation and licensing disputes, coupled with outstanding leadership skills. The Partner will be a tremendous asset to the existing core patent litigation team in Europe, which includes experienced trial attorneys, many of whom have knowledge in additional areas of law such as antitrust and appellate law. This enables the firm to approach cases from a different perspective and sometimes identify issues that otherwise might get overlooked.

The Partner should be extremely well-recognized foremost for their experience in technology and intellectual property. Their knowledge and a reputation will not only bolster the IPT and patent litigation team, but will also strengthen the corporate practice in Munich, a large and growing technology market. Our client is looking for an established partner whose attention to underlying technology impresses clients.

Our client requires candidates that have the following qualifications/skills

  • Excellent credentials; having qualified from a top German university;
  • +10 years of experience in patent law with litigation aspects ;
  • Outstanding reputation in IP/IT in Germany and internationally;
  • Significant portable business;
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral;
  • Client focused, stress resilient and known for providing high quality advice.
