Our client, a leading law firm with a top-tier practice in Energy, is seeking specialized energy and natural resources lawyers. The successful candidate will advise on a full spectrum of energy technologies, from clean energy to electricity, oil, and gas. This role aims to strengthen and support the team, capitalizing on substantial opportunities across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
The firm works with a diverse range of clients, including the largest global oil and gas companies, investors and investment banks involved in energy and commodities trading, and venture-backed alternative energy entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting legal documents proficiently in English.
- Demonstrating solid knowledge of Bulgarian and EU energy sector regulations.
- Negotiating long-term power and/or gas purchase agreements.
Requirements:
- Bulgarian Law Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained at a reputable law firm. Candidates from the legal department of a leading energy company are also welcome to apply.
- Strong English-language legal drafting skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Solid legal analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and manage risks and provide business-oriented legal advice.
Nice to Have:
- Additional experience with other agreements in the sector (e.g., fuel supply, EPC, and operation and maintenance contracts).
- Experience in acquisition and/or project finance transactions in the electricity, gas, and/or refining sectors would be an advantage.
