Our client, a law firm existing in Slovenia for several years, is seeking a Leader who will commit to building up the office in line with the firm’s core practices/focus. This can be either a Sr./Managing Associate who is a rising star, a counsel or a partner.
They seek a senior lawyer, qualified to practice law in Slovenia, with at least 10 years of expertise overall and several years of exposure to corporate transactions.
The Leader will have overall responsibility for achieving the firm’s goals and growth plans in Ljubljana including:
- Strong leadership and business development track record.
- Establishing a financial plan for the firm, and ensuring that it is met. Refine the firm’s mission, vision and values to reflect the nuances of the Slovenian market.
- Acting as the “spiritual and values leader” for the firm. Excellent understanding, comprehension and ability to articulate law firm strategies.
- Acting as the primary partner interface, holding lawyers responsible for their specific goals, responsibilities, deliverables and quality.
You will have:
- A Slovenian qualification (registered with the bar) and be recognized in leading publications as a transactional lawyer who provides top tier commercial advice.
- A strong practice (or team) in Corporate/M&A would be well positioned to profit from the value of this firm’s platform and practice group strength.
- A minimum of 10 years of law firm experience with excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills (public speaking skills is a plus).
- The ability to gain immediate confidence of the existing group of lawyers in the office.
