Our client, a prominent international law firm with offices in Sofia, is seeking to expand its Corporate and M&A team. As part of the firm’s strategic growth initiatives, we are looking for an experienced senior professional, with immediate focus on the following specialty:

Corporate & M&A – Senior Level: You will be leading complex mergers and acquisitions for top-tier domestic and international clients. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border transactions in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of PQE gained in an international or major domestic law firm, 
  • Law degree from a reputable Bulgarian university and member of the local bar association,
  • Proven track record of leading complex corporate deals and M&A transactions,
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on cross-border matters for top-tier clientele, providing commercial advice with minimal supervision,
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coordinate, train, and engage junior team members,
  • Excellent transaction management skills and ability to manage the full matter cycle from proposal through to debt collection,
  • Full professional proficiency in English (legal English essential).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and delivering qualitative work on complex M&A and corporate transactions,
  • Conducting comprehensive legal research, identifying business risks, and providing strategic solutions,
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts, legal statements, due diligence reports, and transaction documents,
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities,
  • Coordinating team projects and monitoring work of junior lawyers to facilitate achievement of objectives.
