Our client, an international law firm, is seeking an experienced Tax Advisor to join its Warsaw office, either individually or with a small team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a broad range of domestic and international tax matters, with the added opportunity to engage in public aid/state aid work as part of a wider tax and regulatory practice.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients on a variety of tax issues, including corporate tax, transaction structuring, and cross-border tax matters. In addition, experience or interest in public aid/state aid will be advantageous, particularly in relation to state aid compliance, EU funding mechanisms, and public support schemes.

You will work with both public and private sector clients, supporting them on tax planning, structuring, and risk management, as well as advising on the interaction between tax rules and regulatory frameworks. Where relevant, you may also assist clients in navigating public aid regimes, including structuring support measures and engaging with national and EU authorities.

Responsibilities will include delivering strategic tax advice, supporting clients on complex transactions, assessing tax risks, and contributing to regulatory and public aid-related projects. Exposure to preparing filings, engaging with authorities, and advising on EU-related frameworks would be beneficial.

Candidates should have substantial experience (typically 8–12+ years) in tax advisory work gained at a reputable law firm or advisory practice. Familiarity with public/state aid rules or a demonstrated interest in developing expertise in this area would be a strong advantage.

A portable book of business and established professional relationships with corporate clients, financial institutions, or public sector bodies will be highly valued.
