Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Advisor with specialized public aid/state aid expertise to join its Warsaw office solo or with a small team. This is a great opportunity to advise on public aid and regulatory matters as an integral part of a dynamic tax and regulatory practice.

The successful candidate will play a leadership role advising clients on complex public aid and tax-related issues, including state aid compliance, EU funding support mechanisms, public support schemes and interaction with competition and regulatory authorities. You will work with public and private sector clients on planning, structuring and defending public aid strategies and assist with navigating the interplay between national and EU public support frameworks.

Your responsibilities will include delivering strategic advice on public aid legal frameworks, assisting beneficiaries and grant-seeking entities with risk assessment, structuring public support in line with applicable rules, preparing notifications and filings, and representing clients in discussions or investigations before relevant authorities when needed (including national bodies and EU institutions).

You should bring extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in advising on public/state aid, EU competition-linked regulatory issues and tax matters at a reputable international or regional law firm (or equivalent advisory setting).

A portable book of business and well-established professional relationships with key industry contacts, including public authorities, corporate clients, and professional intermediaries, will be highly valued.
