Our client, a leading international law firm with a top-tier global Financial Practice Group, is seeking an English-qualified Senior Associate or Partner to join its Banking & Finance team. The firm advises major international investors, financial institutions, and corporates on high-value, cross-border transactions across Europe and other key international markets.

This role is suited to a highly skilled English law practitioner with strong transactional experience and the ability to lead on sophisticated cross-border banking and finance matters. The position offers flexible working arrangements and openness to candidates residing outside of Turkey.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Work

  • Advise lenders, borrowers, investment banks, and agents on a broad range of finance transactions, including:
  • Syndicated lending
  • Acquisition finance
  • Project finance
  • Restructurings and refinancing
  • Draft, review, and negotiate English law–governed:
  • Facility agreements
  • Security packages
  • Intercreditor agreements

Legal Opinions & Advisory

  • Prepare and review English law legal opinions, including enforceability opinions.
  • Provide strategic legal and commercial advice on complex cross-border finance structures.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant English banking regulations and prevailing market standards.
  • Monitor legal developments in English banking law and advise internal stakeholders and clients accordingly.

Client Management & Business Development

  • Act as a trusted advisor to international financial institutions, private equity funds, and corporates.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across key market participants.
  • (For Partner-level candidates) Develop new client relationships and leverage an existing portable book of business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Minimum 7–8 years PQE in banking and finance, ideally with additional restructuring experience.
  • Extensive experience advising on English law finance documents.
  • Experience in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing work.
  • Background at a leading international law firm with strong exposure to global clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to capitalise on existing institutional or personal client relationships.
